I see eBay is promoting Sendle with a new banner ad - they apparently pickup from your home, delivery times seem okay and their prices are better than Aust Post.
Before using them I'd appreciate any feedback from those who have used them.
Thanks

They use different couriers in different locations, so it is difficult to generalize, and even with couriers it is because drivers (who also deliver parcels) can be good in a location and bad in another.
Where I live, I never had problems with Sendle. My last two parcels from Victoria to NSW arrived in just two business days. I think they use Couriers Please here. Definitely not Aramex. The girl who delivered my parcels is not very talkative, but at least she delivers. When I heard her and opened the door, she pointed at the parcel with a finger and almost ran away twice - but it's OK because I am not very talkative either. 😂

That is my experience too. I have used Sendle for around 5% of my parcels over the last 4 or 5 years (with AP being by far the main carrier I use). Almost all my parcels that I send with Sendle are through Couriers Please with Aramex only used for rural areas.
Both my drivers Couriers Please and Aramex are great in my area and I often have a lot of deliveries that come from Aramex and I have only had one issue. It all depends on the driver you have. The only reason I don't use Sendle more is they don't do a Signature on Delivery service, which I really need for most of my items. Claims through them are not easy either.
Saying that, last year I had major issues with AP where over $10k of parcels 'went missing'. Fortunately, all were insured, and AP did pay out, so AP is not exactly full proof either. Saying that if I had to send a parcel for $2k, I would be choosing AP over Sendle.
Sometimes Sendle parcels get delivered at ridiculous speeds which is great. But there is always a little added anxiety because I always wonder if they have left the parcel with ATL, or wonder if the buyer is going to have major issues finding a pick up location close to them. If I am sending a parcel for say $50 then Sendle is a good option for me as the driver I have is really great.

From the point of view of a buyer:
On the whole, I find parcels coming by sendle are fine.
Recently I had a bit of a nighmare experience as I bought something on ebay that didn't arrive and 2 weeks after the due date it still showed no movement except for the first couple of days. Seller was useless so I spoke to sendle via chat.
It seems they had subcontracted to another company to delivery the parcel and assured me the delivery date had been updated. Didn't happen then either. Second chat person said she couldn't get in touch with the company but would keep on it.
I think the problem is if the delivery date passes, the computer system automatically generates a new date.
In the end I had to send details of the parcel and labelling and contents (seller no help, didn't even reply to my messages). Eventually parcel located and arrived.
So I would say this about sendle-it depends on what group they have employed to actually do the delivery.
The chat help is reasonably good too, although you have to start pressing for action and insist that the parcel is seen by a human and that the rep isn't just looking at computer generated delivery estimates.
If I were selling, I'd probably be willing to use them but with the proviso that if things were delayed, I would put in some effort to see what had happened to the parcel. Same as Auspost, I guess.

How does a buyer even know a seller is using Sendle? I would have thought that the delivery would have just showed Aramex, or Couriers Please, or whoever the contracted courier is. Does it say that the item is being sent by Sendle in the order details? Given they aren't actually a courier company, but a broker? Asking because I don't know, not because I'm trying to be difficult 😄

That's fine S& D. It's a valid question.
Just to be clear, I don't care how a seller elects to get something to me. All I care about is that the something arrives in a reasonable time and usually, Auspost & various private courier services are fine. I rarely have any trouble.
The only way I know how a parcel is coming is when the tracking details come up.
When I click on the tracking number, these next 2 screenshots are what I am shown.
I've blanked out most of the tracking numbers but as you can see, the courier company is shown. If it is Auspost, it will say that too.
I have sent things using sendle and had no problems and I usually have no problems when things are sent to me, so if I were selling, I think I'd probably be willing to use them. Depends on costs I guess. Back when I was sending a few things to people during lockdown, I found sendle cheaper for some things but for a couple of other items, Australia Post was better and more convenient.

As a seller I never use a courier - Aust Post works best for me.
As a buyer, I recently purchased an item that was sent by Sendle, the seller dropped it off at the receiving hub on 20 November and I received it 7 December; = 17 days, coming from Victoria to country QLD, and in that time the parcel was changed from Sendle to another courier, because Sendle don't deliver to my area. Toooo slooow.

I WOULD DETER ANYONE OR ANY BUSINESS FROM USING THIS SENDLE. Their so called - CUSTOMER SERVICE is practically non existent ……. I have been deterred, mislead, & deceived by this inferior company. I have tried to contact a SENDLE manager several times to try & discuss about the discrepancy - but no manager has had the decency to reply back to me ……. my case has gone on for nearly a month. Therefore, I am about to cancel my Sendle account.
How do these companies survive ??

They survive, because people like yourself sign up because you can save $1 on postage. Read through the boards here. There are endless threads about how bad it is for people trying to send. Do a search here for Sendle. Please don't reply on the threads you read, because old threads really don't need to be dragged up and you have made your point in this one.
Do yourself a favour. Cancel your account and go back to Aust Post. At least they deliver majority of the time. If you sell something that is too big for Aust Post, then engage with a courier company, not a courier broker.

I use Auspost about 90% of the time, I always compare the price and if its close I just go with Auspost.
ebay/sendle can have some great deals on postage though so I would recommend you watch out for those, the Dec deal I think I ended up posting 3 items at no cost with sendle and had no issues with delivery at all.
I haven't used the pick up service, noarmally I drop off and had no issues, speed of delivery has also been comparable to Auspost.
I have had one package that was "delayed" but the buyer had given me positive feedback. I put a request into sendle to investigate, which they did and confirmed the item was delivered, took them approx 5 days to investigate and the process was initiated through the sendle website.
Overall, they can be another good option, depending on the price comparison and the value of the item is how I make my choice who to use.
