This company has ‘lost’ or should we say stolen our items and cost us a lot of time and even worse our eBay reputation. We are considering legal action and would love to know if other buyers have had similar issues or if it is local to our area (Canberra, ACT)

All you need to do is look here on the forum alone
Hundreds of complaints/warnings/rants over several years from both buyers and sellers
I’d love to know why people still insist on using them to save a buck when the loose far more by using a company whose reputation is known to be what it is

Yes, it's a locality thing. The service in my area is exceptional, while the customer service is above and beyond.

Mixed.
I am in Melbourne Metro & they are usually okay but have had an issue in the past that took a while to clear.
On the whole, I think Australia Post is more reliable and if I were selling. I'd probably be more inclined to use them.
Yes, I do think it can vary a lot from area to area.

I wouldn't use a courier when selling in a fit.
I HAVE had stuff delivered by couriers, and have never had a problem with delivery. Including Couriers Please and Aramex. Lucky I guess.

This company as you mention does not actually deliver anything - they pass it on.
Stole - Lost.
On what would you base your ' legal action '. ??

It’s definitely area-specific.
I’m lucky - but if I were selling, I would certainly be using AP. Effective delivery to as many buyers as possible is better than reasonably effective delivery to fewer buyers while saving a few pennies.

Are you a seller? I assume so.
In which case your location is almost certainly irrelevant.
What is relevant is where the buyer is located and what the Sendle sub-contractors' performance is like in those areas.
I exclusively use AP, charge accordingly, and have few issues.

I had a parcel go missing just recently, sent by Sendle.
Sendle are looking into it at present, ordered item from Amazon, courier was Road Runner, 2nd time this has happened.
