Hi. How could a different person be the buyer of an item listed???One day the item is sold, yet unpaid for, the package is on it's way, then I get a message, and check the payment is from someone else? Obviously I have made a huge mistake, and have refunded the $. How the heck did this happen? Any clues...I know. Don't send ANYTHING until the Paypal thingy comes up.
I was just at the post office and thought why not just send it....
But still, what happened?

Can any body tell me how I can have one address to send to on one day, and then another address the next? That is my question.

When you sell an item, eBay sends you an email containing the eBay account holder's registered details, including the postal address they have on file.
But, when a buyer goes through checkout they can change the name and address they want the item sent to - and many do, eg if it's for a gift and they want to send it to that person directly, which happens a lot at this time of year.

The address shown in your 'Item Sold' notification is the buyers's registered eBay address. The address the Paypal notification shows is the address the buyer has selected for the item to be sent to. Which then goes back to the eBay transaction.
NEVER post until you have confirmed payment and ALWAYS post to the address that Paypal gives you.
My question is why you had the item packed, ready to post and with you when you were at the PO?
