I've been following all the GSP problems, but I'm interested in USPS Priority Mail from the US. Different gold jewellery I have looked at, similar in weight (eg 6 grams) varies wildly ($20 to $120!). Any idea why? is additional insurance a factor? I'm really confused.

1. Are you SURE they are all USPS?
2. Could be insurance, could be adequate packaging sufficient to kick them up a weight category, could be the actual USPS service quoted, could be 'I'll sell to you, but I don't really want the hassles of overseas post so, as an American who doesn't get shafted with FVF on overseas postage, I'll inflate the postage and hope you don't buy'.
Who knows. Whilst they speak a version of English, they aren't really like us.

USPS Priority Mail is horrifically expensive.....and often there seems to be no reason for it.
The cheapest form of Priority is a satchel/envelope....if the item is not particularly breakable that is probably the way to go as even the smallest box seems to jump in price beyond all reason

The item I'm looking at is 370941469228 & the gold pendant is only 6.5 grams & US$19 to Australia, however others, similar weight are frighteningly more!
Can anyone tell me if the USPS Priority mail includes insurance protection for the seller or do they have to pay extra?
Thanks

Says insurance available except as above. Depends how they pack it. Looks like it is extra.
When I was getting a few, the flate rate envelopes could not be insured or really tracked. They had a customs number and that was it. To be on the safe side, ask the seller to quote on insurance for you.
