Slow to receive or not?

Hello,

Is it unusual or not for a parcel I sent by Click and Send procedure on Monday from Brisbane hasn't reached a Melbourne suburb by now (Friday) according to the tracking number - still sitting at shipment info received status - same status the day I sent the item.  Monday was a public holiday and item was posted in Red Street box and there may have been no pick ups that day because of the floods, however, since Tuesday, things were more or less back to normal.

Thanks in advance for some perspective.

No, not really unusual. The tracking status will only update when the parcel is scanned, and chances are that won't happen at all until the day it's delivered. Mail times can vary quite a bit - one seller I purchase from regularly is interstate and I receive their parcels anywhere from 3 to 8 business days after they post it (they're in QLD and I'm in SA).

There has probably been a back log from the floods and maybe an increase in assistance being sent as well. I wouldn't worry just yet.

Thanks very much for the replies.  I'll just be more patient and see how all of next week goes.

Cheers & thanks

Janet
