So a competitor gives us a negative feedback that is utter lie and eBay can't do anything about it.

They sell Pokemon Cards, claims we didn't respond to their message. eBay messages shows that they have never contacted us.

When confronted via eBay message, this person claims they messaged us on the 19th - conveniently he clears his "sent messages" daily so he doesn't have a record either.

He continues to talk gibberish about terrible our service, changing the subject, all the while refusing our request that he show us when he contacted us.

This is down right dirty. This particular person sells exactly the same products as we do and has the audacity to buy with the pure intent to leave negative feedback.

I've reported it to eBay via email requesting removal under the unwelcome/malicious buying policy, but they will not yield. Will give them a call tomorrow.

Anyone else have any thoughts? What would YOU do if another seller does this to you?

Have considered filing for defamation and get him to pay for our legal fees. Furious to say the least.

P.S. their latest reply "doesn't trust buyers" ? What is that meant to even mean?!

Read...."Buyer won't return item for FULL refund- leaves Neg's" below and that will tell you how much help (not) as to removing Negs. Bit of a warning though as you would more than likely expect the unexpect

Your situation was completely different.. Your negs were left by an unhappy buyer, the OPs neg was left by a competitor selling the same products. The seller bought from the OP for the sole purpose of leaving a NEG..

How do I quote?

to quote in a post, first hit the 'reply button' of the post you wish to quote.  Then, between the tick with ABC and the smiley face is a quotation mark.  Hit that button and the quote is inserted.  Be aware, though, that if you edit the quote (remove some of it like I did above) the system can go haywire and replace the quote text with your text and represent it as a quote.  Best to hit the preview button before posting.  If it isn't right then go back and edit.  This may mean deleting the quote and re-inserting it by hitting the quote button again. 

It's always a good thing to preview a post before posting it.
