So many stores based in China but falsely stating item is in Australia

When I want/need a purchased item quickly I select "Australia only". So NOT HAPPY when stores based in China are falsely stating the item is located in Australia. Then wait over 3 weeks for them to send from China. There are so many stating the item is located in Darwin, Australia. As I live in Darwin I recently purchased earrings expecting to get them overnight. Not happy when I waited over 3 weeks!!

Where is the protection for legit Aussie stores.

I hear ya. Problem is you are wasting your time reporting them to eBay because they will do nothing.
Internal policies prevent eBay.AU from taking any punitive against a member who is not registered in AU. All they will do is to pass your report to eBay.CN but of course they don't care so nothing happens.

You can usually tell from feedback, postage delivery star, postage cost, delivery estimate and method of posting if things are coming from China or HK. It isn't always slow post either. I have received things from China quicker than parcels coming from the next state.
