Hi all.
I sold an item recently, posted it promptly, updated tracking number and contacted the seller when I noticed it had landed at the post office.
I was then paid out.
10 days later I get a dispute email claiming no tracking details and no delivery, took me a bit to realize the account making the claim was in England and a different account to the account that made the purchase, the item was shown in the message, how is that possible if the account contacting me and opening a dispute is not the account that made the purchase?
I messaged both accounts and it turns out the buyer is the owner of both accounts and was not checking the account he purchased it from.
I repeat, How is this possible that an account that did not make the purchase even if it was owned by the same person can show the item in an email and open a dispute?
The buyer came back to me and had obviously recognized the problem and withdrew the dispute, however that account SHOULD NEVER have been able to open a dispute against an item when it was not used to purchase that item!?

Did you get any messages from eBay, or was it just the buyer messaging you?

It was from ebay, but the account making the claim had a different name to the account that purchased the item, and messages to the account making the claim were not received by the other account and visa versa ... how can 2 separate accounts be linked to 1 purchase? .... the buyer is in my country Australia and the account making the claim has England as the country, so 2 different accounts, there's something bodgy and bazaar going on !
