Some people should be blacklisted.

Sold an item two days ago and this morning a message from the buyer asy he doesn't want it ....

Last time this happened I went through the process of cancelling the order for which the buyer then needs to confirm with eBay that they agree for the order is to be cancelled.  That. buyer didn't bother replying to eBay and so I had to wait 10 days before relisting the item.

In these cases I suspect it's better to just wait 4 days and then lodge an "unpaid item case" - then the buyer gets a strike and I can then relist the item sooner.

yep that's all I do now is lodge an unpaid item dispute, I can't be bothered with cancellation process it takes too long.

I would rather offer the cancellation even if it may take 10 days before I can relist. It is better than them paying because I open an unpaid item dispute and them opening a dispute once they get it.

I usually send them a message saying I have initiated the cancellation and as soon as they tick the box to say they agree the transaction will be finalised without penalty to either of us.

I have never had to wait the 10 days, I think perhaps they think if they don't tick the box there will be some repercussion LOL.
