Strange Feedback

Sounds like you shouldn't have ever welcomed him to come back and buy more.

Just think - your next feeback might not be the postman one, but the one about what he did on the box, or where his appendage got caught! Man Surprised

Strange Feedback

I read a negative feedback comment yesterday:

I told you, if my phone number is on the label, I will leave negative feedback.

The seller was in China, so no doubt the buyers initial message was not fully understood.

Almost all Chinese sellers put the phone number on the postage label.   In fact, most overseas sellers do so...it seems to be a requirement in many countries, especially if a courier service is use.

Even Australian courier companies insist on a phone number for the addressee in case of problems with the delivery.

It doesn't matter if you welcome them back or not...It just sounds nice to say it. They can come back even if you don't welcome them.

Alex

Huh? I'm just pointing out the humour in how this is a repeat customer for mbselections, and how mb welcomed him to come back again (in a follow-up feedback comment) after the buyer's initially left feedback for his other purchases weeks earlier.

So does Aust Post for International Post.  I have been told on several occasions, if I don't have the recipients phone number (because silly me has left it blank), put my own number in - for the exact reason, if there's a problem, they have a contact number and it is supposed to be filled in.

That said, I totally understand there may be several reasons why a buyer may not want their phone number visible to their local postie - but to leave a neg because of it is a bit extreme.  And I can't imagine how difficult it would be for a high volume seller (who automatically includes a phone number) to isolate a single sale in order to change an address label.

Of course you are.

im just saying that there is no need to welcome people backed.

Alex

You are correct Alex, and what is really weird, I think I have only ever left follow up Feedback twice and this guy just happened to be one of them and in his case I welcomed him back, which really was unnecessary.  But what is a bit scary now, in hindsight, is at the time I had this gut feeling perhaps this person was a bit lonely and/or how can I say nicely - intellectually challenged ?, so I thought the follow-up feedback might be a nice positive in his day - reading feedback he's left for others, I'm now convinced he is 'challenged' and gets his jollies other ways too Smiley LOL  I am very grateful for the feedback he has left me to date, but concerned as to what it may be in the future . . . . . .

Thanks Alex, yes I know how to block them (lol, you should see my long party list !).

I just wanted to share and give other members the opportunity to check the feedback and do likewise if they so choose.  I felt quite sickened by a couple of the comments he has left for others and would hate to receive those comments in my feedback.  In fact if I did receive such comments I would be asking eBay to remove them - they are quite inappropriate and irrelevant
