Under our other ebay usernames, today we closed 4 ebay stores. Each specialised in something different.
We are unable to pay the increased monthly fees. increased final value fees, increased paypal fees.
We feel that we are not part of anything worthwhile any longer.
ebay don't care about smaller sellers that offer something other than the cheap plastic stuff from china. It used to be good to look through the listings when it really was like a whole lot of garage sales or market stalls with lots of surprises. But now it's just like amazon or westfield and the sad thing is that ebay management don't care.
So we're going to try the old australian auctions sites - whatever it's called these days and the post.
Thanks all for your words of advice over the 11 years. Some of you should be doing a comedy routine.
Best wishes ato you all
Tony & Emma

Why not just have the one store with all the items you have so it is a variety store?
That would be cheaper than the cost of so many stores.

we had a lot of books and music in one and didn't want to mix it with the genuine vehicle accesories and the vintage and antique items.
The wedgewood and other porcelain and ceramics also didn't fit with the other categories.
The main reason we had different stores was that ebay and paypal's policy of shutting down a store with no justification and freezing all funds for 30 days meant that they could take down 1 store (which they did in March for 17 days after a complaint which was later proven to be chinese fraud) and all the others continued to operate.
At least we made $55.00 from our "hobby" in June. In future most of that would be going to ebay and paypal in fees. the sad thing was we were actually selling stuff (like unique vintage pieces) that people couldn't get anywhere else. Our stuff wasn't fake iphone covers or cheap hdmi cables that were competing with a million other sellers.
Good luck & god bless

Indeed Sassy, fvfs& listing fees for stores are less than they were a year ago (unless you sell books & DVDs etc) and Paypal Australia fees are exactly the same as they were back in the day when Paypal opened up their Au site and long before they were bought out by ebay.
