The Latest eBay Free Listings and Seller Promotions Thread.

Thought it would be good just to have a single thread devoted to seller promos and free listings.

Re: The Latest eBay Free Listings and Seller Promotions Thread.

I think the "fees may apply" might only be for business accounts. So far I haven't been charged for automatic relists despite the text being changed. Of course, always check your remaining freebies (the last of the 40 in my case, since I don't ever get selected for these promotions) and your seller fees before and after an item automatically relists, just in case eBay does eventually do the dirty like they did with the old Buy It Now listings.

This promo is not for stores only as I received it.

Re: The Latest eBay Free Listings and Seller Promotions Thread.

went to 'live chat' in regards to my previous post #423. here is the transcript:

Hi...my listings now say this: Automatically relist this item up to 8 times if it doesn't sell. Fees may apply for each relist. It has always said (previously) that it was free....what has changed?

nice & cool
05:59:40 UTC Rowell
I can see that this is about the item duration, right?

05:59:53 UTC twyngwyn
yes
06:00:23 UTC Rowell
Allow me to explain this matter Michele.

06:00:36 UTC twyngwyn
please do

06:01:24 UTC Rowell
For the auction items that has a Automatic relist for 8 times. I would like to confirm that there is nothing that you need to worry because the fees will not apply for reach relist. That information you see in the listing format is actually how it worked before.

06:03:33 UTC Rowell
I'd like to clarify this matter that there is nothing that you need to worry about the items that will automatically relist since if they are not sold then it will naturally end and be placed in your unsold section for 60 days and you may relist them manually

06:04:22 UTC twyngwyn
OK, but it says that: fees may apply for each re-list??

06:04:31 UTC twyngwyn
Is this an error?

06:05:01 UTC Rowell
You can disregard that as we are working on removing that information avoiding to create mess on the listing form
.
06:05:38 UTC twyngwyn
Thankyou very much....it is an error

06:05:47 UTC Rowell
Have I answered your questions regarding your concern today Michele?

06:06:05 UTC twyngwyn
Yes, I believe so, thankyou

06:06:30 UTC Rowell

What bull**bleep**. Rowell is "confident" that you will not be charge. I don't have much confidence in Rowell 😬

Re: The Latest eBay Free Listings and Seller Promotions Thread.

As you're not running any auctions, the free relists don't apply anyway.

So your lack of confidence in Rowell is unlikely to make any difference to you.

I do run auctions, that ended last weekend, as the FREE relists had run out. I also had 18 BIN listings that were due to roll over yesterday. My 40 freebies had already been used up. Stupid Tippy. Dumb Tippy. An expensive mistake forgetting to end them yesterday! They rolled over at $1.65 a pop.

I have never been charged for auctions to relist, despite what the blurb says.

I got stung by this too.  I accidentally let 180+ items roll over and had $340+ in fees.  I got onto chat and explained that I don't understand what happened and they explained it to me and credited me back the fees, and I ended them all.

Awesome.

As a store owner I get charged $3 per auction. When these promos occur they are free. Smiley Happy
