So I get this email from a buyer wanting to know where his item is after 2 days because he needed it by the weekend. Apparently the listing said it would get there on time.
What happens next?

get these every so often, i don't think the estimated delivery time ebay gives buyers factors in handling time and the fact that Post can now take up to 10 working days after the recent changes to auspost.

And who will they go to in order to follow it up?
No point giving advice without an explanation because Australia Post will not do anything about following up a parcel after only 4 days unless it was sent Express and both buyer and seller are in areas covered by Express Post.
