the Person from eBay, with Indian Voice, actually said they were from Australia, " Roger Ransom" but really came from Pakistan , " did I or a family member purchase a product from China, on eBay?" I said NO. False eBay person says " our fraud team thought it was suspicious!, this person was on our Mobile Phone , repeated back to me our eBay account number, asked me for my Bank Pass Word, I do not known it, " NO PROBLEM, he said , download  TEAM VIEWER or ANY DESK, and HE WILL HELP ME THROUGH getting back the REFUND OF $299.00, I agreed, gave him Westpac Card Number, expiry Date CVV No. , then filled out a eBay REFUND FORM.  With small ebay , he then said his team leader would guide me through my access to my Apple iPhone, BUT , this person was just the same voice, I HANG UP. Cancelled Westpac Card, ......... BEWARE ALL eBay SELLERS.

I am almost 100% certain if the scammer had 'sounded Australian' the OP would not make mention of it

And they certainly would not have said something like 'some Aussie Bogan' or some such

Anyway, only because he had an Indian accent, it does not mean he was Indian. Accents can easily be imitated, in particular by scammers who want to be misleading.

It is because of people like you that I am constantly annoyed by scammers. Do you believe every faceless person who contacts you,  are who they say they are and that they could not possibly be telling lies? Someone asking for you bank password, and this does not even ring alarm bells for you?  Then you agree to get back $299 for something you say you did not buy?  Why would you give out credit card details to a perfect stranger? You don't have even basic knowledge about personal security, or how to protect yourself, so it is just a matter of time before you are scammed big time. I think this is coming soon, judging by how you so easily hand out personal information.  In the meantime people like me, who simply hang up on these people have to tolerate constant interruptions to our daily lives.

Another person who jumps up to call out a so called "racist"  This is the most "overused" and "misused" word in the English language. Political correctness gone mad!  It is ok to call a white person "white" but not to call a black person "black" without being called a racist. I am still looking for the rainbow sheep, which must really confuse little children. Most of the scam calls (but not all) that I get are from Asians and Indians, except for Nicole.  So call me a racist if you will for telling it like it is.  I am not saying that there are not as many other nationalities with scammers, there probably are, but why should I lie about this to please you and others like you, so that I will not be called a "racist" I am simply stating the facts as they are in my experience.   Another fact you may not like is that, very rarely do Asians and Indians have Australian sounding names, unless they are second or third generation living in Australia, and then they usually have Australian accents to go along with it. This is common knowledge.

Every time I get one of these nuisance phone calls, I scream at them they are a liar, liar, liar pants on fire!

"You know you are a liar, would you do this to your mother or grandmother"? 

"would you like someone to do this to your mother, grandmother, or family"?

I get a great deal of satisfaction when there is suddenly silence on the line.

Yes, you are a racist. You have no idea who is calling you but you call them Indians. Shame on you.

That said, everyone of us has some racism buried into our hearts, I was simply bringing it into open so that we learn to recognize it and hopefully avoid it. It is directed at people who jump up and down trying to avoid the reality, and use fancy terms to divert attention from the real issue.
