Can Ebay not make it any harder for us in Australia... ok if you can post from OS and not pay the right price because we pick up that slack.

Re: Top Rated Seller Plus

As my name suggests I buy and sell stuff and as seller I do offer free shipping but only if I can afford to. As a buyer when looking to buy an item I always include the shipping costs as part of the whole price so it really doesn't matter to me if the shipping is free or not.

I do try to bundle things together if the seller is offering shipping discounts for multiple items.

So to all you sellers out there don't bother with free postage as we all know it's built into the cost of the item (costs more in fees) and it means that you can't offer the incentive of reduced postage costs on multiple items.

Does eBay think that buyers are dumb!!!!  ]:)

Re: Top Rated Seller Plus

Making false and misleading claims were considered corporately naughty last time I looked.

You can't say something is free when it is simply a hidden charge.

I suspect our esteemed corporate regulators may look askance at this.

As for charging a fee for a service not delivered ie postage, which eBay most certainly does not provide, is at the very least unethical and probably illegal?

A seller who puts postage into the sell price has no choice but to list as Free Post

Post built into item isn't an option!

As to our esteemed corporate regulators looking askance at this - they made the rules, and sorry but it is not only on eBay - millions of items are listed on the internet, mail order catalogues as Free Postage.

Re: Top Rated Seller Plus

AP has just increased postage and then ebay are forcing sellers to offer "free" postage. I totally agree with this statement: "hiding the postage fee into price but telling buyers it is free postage, this is misleading". ebay has force seller to do so, so it is not seller's fault.

This "free" postage policy benefits ebay only (sellers pay FVF on the postage), nor buyers or sellers.
