I am trying to list some items using Turbo Lister but when I try to upload the listings get rejected stating I need a UPC number. Some items don't have one, particularly if theyre new without tags so how do I get around this.
thanks (in advance)

That field is now a required field on ebay and can no longer be left blank.
So if its not applicable to your product then you need to populate it with "Does not Apply".

UPC = Universal Product Code
EAN = European Article Number
They are just the barcodes you see all over products that are scanned at checkouts etc.
There are many different formats of the codes. These are two of the commonly used ones.

when a barcode doesn't scan at a checkout and an operator has to type a number in, this is what they are typing.
If you are selling common products the barcode links it into google searches and probably helps it pop up all over web pages when people have searched similar items.
I leave it as "does not apply" even for my new items that have it, as they are one offs and unlikely to be search linked to other same items..also cant be bothered typing in big numbers.
This not the same as MFN, which is more of a manufacturers internal tagging like a style number

Thanks for the replies. As I sell mainly vintage I will not need to bother about it.

I tried typing in Not Relevant, Not Applicable, Does Not Apply, the latter 2 have too many characters and it doesn't like Not Relevant, so still getting the same error message requiring UPC/EAN. Totally frustrated now!!
Anyone have any other suggestions for this in Turbo Lister??
Thanks
