There are several variations of ads like this. Are they a con? Does anyone have experience with such an invitation?

I haven't seen it so I can only say if someone wants ebay sellers to do something it may be a scam.

Without wasting my time looking at the link - A wannabe Selling Assistant trying to drum up business?
Personally, I would never pay somebody else to do what I can do for myself. Unless my time was worth at least $50/hour. I like to think it is, but market forces think otherwise.

They want drop shippers-don't even waste your time.
Items will be shipped once I receive payment and tracking numbers will be provided with most items

I would run a mile from those sort of set ups.
If ebay selling was that easy there would be lots of ebay millionaires out there.

sounds like a scam to me

In my experience these types of marketing ideas are predominantly after your network of contacts.
Another way of putting what many are offering is "Go get me some money and I'll give you 5%"
Call me cynical and sceptical, but by gee I have been correct on 98% of them.
If the products sell by themselves, the marketers would simply do it themselves. ๐

I think it's directed at the US site. They want ebay sellers to work for them and they'll receive 25% of the value of each item - yeah right ! It seems like the employer will post items. I would stay away from it - there are potential problems involved such as you receive negative feedback and lose money while the supplier makes money. Anyone 18 and over can join ebay so there's no reason the employer / scammer can't do everything.
My advice to anyone who thinks about this proposition is to not bother with it !

Now that I've read everyone else's comments ( they weren't there before I posted my previous comment ) I want to add that the advertisement is likely to be BS etc and anyone who works for the person or company may end up worse off financially.

If you want to risk your ebay reputation and your hard earned cash on believing that this dropshipper is selling the genuine articles and you won't get slammed with a whole load of Paypal claims for counterfeit merchandise and not received items all of which will have to be paid by you then go right ahead and contact them!
