Can someone help me with a clothing Size issue?
I have often been confused by this :
I'm listing a Sass and Bide Dress. On the Sz / Care instruction label it says:
Euro Sz 40 US Sz 4
When I look at Size conversion sites, they suggest that Euro Sz 40 is just about equivalent to an Aus 12
Yet when I look at info about US Sz 4, it says its 'small' or about equivalent to an Aust Sz 8.
What I've always done when listing items like this before is provide as accurate measurements as possible and just quote what's on the label, but I would really like to be a bit more confident about this issue. Afterall, sizing is probably one of the most important issues to get right in a listing.

I also sell clothes and when I meet this problem I quote the label size in the title, measure the garment and compare the measurements to the Australian Standard Sizing Chart - then put the equivalent measurement in Brackets in the Title.
I also put in the description the complete Measurements and a 'Please see Measurements' sentence.
I gave up trying to work out US Eur Fr and Uk equivalents from all the charts available.

If you sell a lot you can do as above and then compare to other items you have and make a comment re whether it measures small or large for size. This gives buyers a heads up to check dimensions. Comparing against items you have on hand is far mor ereliable than any charts.
You can also advise buyers to compare given measurements against items they already own

I sell mostly clothes. I can have 5 items from the same label that will all say they are the same size yet the measurements may be several centimeters out. About half my items are from the UK, the majority are comparable with Au sizes, some are smaller some are bigger.
The trouble with labels is that often they will give a 'to fit bust ???cm' so I just say that the label says it is a UK or Au size ?? and please check the actual measurements.
I have very few buyers want to return for not fitting.
