Surely I can't be the only person to have ever done this, it was always going to happen, it was just a matter of time.
Has anyone got any suggestions?

I've done this SO MANY TIMES! I just tear it open, insert the correct one and reseal with clear tape. Easy. The post office will happily accept it

Lol - yup done it too.
They will reopen without too much effort or damage if you pull the sealed joins apart straight away. But if some time has past, either carefully slide and slice end with sharp object or tear open if you think you may damage goods with sharp object.
Break out the sticky-tape to reseal and reuse.

No biggy, just cut it open and reseal. The individual barcode on each satchel will still be unscanned/unlodged and that's all they care about. Doesn't matter what state the satchel is in.

Thank you so much to everyone that replied. That was my exact concern, looking really dodgy to the buyer and Aust Post.
I have followed everyones advice and cut it open and resealed it.
Thanks again, you're all stars

be careful ive done that before put the new address with right item and sealed up with sticky tape. The buyer had to pick hers up from her post office and they thought it was sent twice and i had to pay the cost of the prepaid bag AGAIN. My post office gave me address stickers to put over the top incase i did it again
