Of course as usual it didn't work for me when I tried to accept offer, but perhaps people are confusuing FVFees with listing fees - or am I missing something ?

Of course it didn't work for you. You foolishly registered as a business seller. Which, as you know, provides many minuses and no pluses.

I understand that you are concerned about not receiving promotional offers.I will forward your feedback to our marketing and promotions team to review your account for these offers.
Regarding your concern, I would like to inform you that all the promotional offers are uploaded by our marketing team which is forwarded by the system automatically and randomly to all our sellers. Additionally. I would like to let you know that some offers are generic and some of them are account specific. The generic offers are site specific which can be used by any seller but the account specific one are sent on specific accounts only. We have forwarded your concern about not receiving account specific promotional offers on your eBay account.
Promotions are typically announced 48 hours before they begin. We are unable to give you advance notice regarding these promotions but there are ways you can check for it.
We have many coming promotions. If you're subscribed to receive marketing emails from eBay, you'll receive promotional messages in your eBay Messages and your personal email.
You can also refer to the promotional offers section found on the All Selling page in My eBay; here you'll find a list of all of the offers currently available to you.
I hope this information was helpful. For any other information, click on “Help & Contact” option provided on the top of most eBay pages.

I did get 2 invitations.
This is what it says.
Sell your unwanted items in May with no listing fees to pay if your item doesn't sell.
My items are low prices also, so wouldn't pay to go for this one.
Your loss. Listing fees are when you LIST an item, not when you sell it. When you sell it you pay FVF's. You still pay FVF's when they sell, but there are NO listing fees for those that are eligible. I listed 20 items tonight and paid $0.00 listing fees.
Why would eBay have a promotion where they have unlimited items where every single one is charged a $1.50 listing fee? No-one would use it. It would be pointless. The only time you would pay a listing fee is if you have run out of your normal monthly freebies and you list a multivariation listing.
Some people need to learn to read.

Where does it say "sell your unwanted items in May with no listing fees to pay if your item doesn't sell"? I've just looked at the T&C's again and can't see anywhere where that sentence is written. The only time you get charged is as I said before, you list a multivariation listing, or you list in more than one category. What I did see was:
What is the Promotion?
Pay no Insertion fees on items you list and make available for purchase during the Promotion Period in Fixed Price or Auction-style format on eBay.com.au.

Tippytoes, some accounts are restricted to how many items they can list.
From what ive read this is opening the market mainly to restricted sellers, they now can list as many items as they like untill may 26th.
When the item sells they pay the insertion fee and fvf on that item.
Please show me in the terms and conditions where it says that if the item sells you pay an insertion fee, because I sure as heck can't find it. No insertion fees means no insertion fees, period. Do tell, link or screenshot please.
Edit, I have listing restrictions on my accounts. 510 on one, 100 on another and 30 on the newer one. No insertion fees being paid here. Your loss if you don't accept it.
