Urgent Help

Hi, I sold an item to USA, customer received, leave positive feedback and after a week he open a "no as described" complain.

He wanted a full refund including shipping & not to return item. After all emails Ebay went in favour of the customer and ask him to return item for a full refund. Now customer want that I also pay the return shipping?

What are my rights here? ebay only say "full refund" when I get item back. Do I need to pay for the return item cost? do I need to refund shipping as well?

My first complain, please help!

No you do not need to pay the return postage.

No you don't need to pay for the return shipping. With ebay buyer protection they will often require refund without return if the item is fake or badly damaged and the cost of return overseas postage is more than it is worth but in your case they obviously did not make that finding so just sit back and wait for it to arrive. If the buyer fails to provide valid tracking details within a certain time (not sure how long for an ebay claim) then the claim will be closed in your favour.

If the item is returned, as said you won't need to pay for the return shipping, but full refund does mean the original payment will be refunded in full, including the shipping component.

What exactly was the "not as described" claim?  I cannot see any FB from buyer in the USA except the toaster; could it be that they did not know we have 240v (UK, where it comes from have 230V) while US have only 110V, which means that electrical items brought from US burn out in few seconds, while those from here sent to USA do not work very well.  In any case eBay (PP) will not refund them unless they provide proof of posting it back, which will be very expensive for them.

Did we lose 10V since I left end of October, we were certainly running on 240V then 😉
