I see the Views/Watchers is back again so ebay must still be playing around.
But in saying that there has been some other strange and surprising glitches to day as well ๐

I love it, I'd previously log in on the US site to check what buyers were looking at and possibly change the title or picture around.

put my vote in the FOR camp. those who don't want it, just turn it off. too easy.

At the moment it can not be turned off.
If it is to be a permanent thing then the option to turn off mif=ght be there later.

Hi all,
I'm elated that this feature is now available locally after years of switching over to Ebay USA to use it,as it gives me a great indication of the types of items that buyers are or are not interested in....an excellent feature!!

I used to go to the US site to do this too!
I love it (but sometimes it's depressing, LOL)

I too find views/watchers an excellent indicator of the market interest and I have also used American Ebay a lot for this reason.
Thumbs up for it's inclusion in Oz

Its a great addition to ebay and yes its been on the American sites for years and I use to log on just to use it.
But I also do agree it would be better split in to two columns but that's here nor there.
Wont matter anyways the way ebay AUST is going there wont be much use for it.
I can tell you all now for low priced and secondhand items ebay want you all on there gumtree site where they will no longer have to deal with complaints those items bring.
And its amazing in the last couple mths how the opposition sites like QS is starting to go blazing guns. My wife has made 4 purchases there and other websites in a week and none on ebay.
Why, not because she does not want to use ebay but simply because a lot of low cost items are now there instead of here, and there from the same sellers selling cheaper yes cheaper same seller same item different price. Now ebay that's a recipe for disaster.
Could this be a reason why it is slowing on ebay, Hmm probably not the entire reason but I bet its part of it.
I do beleive the pendulan has swung to far one way on ebay and yes its now against both the seller and the buyer. WHY
Well the buyer one is simple its all about the cost, If someone can buy a item cheaper elsewhere thats where 90percent will go. Studies have shown this for generations.
We use to have a computer shop that did extreamly well in the late 90,s early 2000. We learnt very quikly if a competitor was $5 less on the weekend paper advertisements they would get all the business and we would be deadly quite. If we were $5 cheaper we had to call in more staff because we simply could not cope.
For the seller its simple to if theres no buyers you are not going to sell much.
But in saying that the difference here is its not the sellers driving the bus so to speak and they have no control over the destiny of ebay. Yes sellers are not being well treated buy ebay but its for more reasons than i can post here. Mostly its to get rid of low end second hand items being sold buy mum and dad sellers which ebay promoted heavily only just a few years back. But is has caused far to many headackes with people making false claims to ebay hence ebay want out of it and only want big ticket items and businesses to sell on here so that all warrantee problems become the selling companies problem and not ebays.
I do not see ebay getting better anytime soon. I think they will just push the low end sellers out slowly and once most have moved to GT or QS etc they will then start to change there policies again and then you will start to see listing fee,s at GT creep in , they will be low at first just like ebay was.
Is this the end of Ebay ? NO not at all just the end of home sellers and the beginning of the big new online supermarket of imported goods.

Sweet, I also use that 'tree' site as a buyer especially for local things, much easier to search your local suburbs than on eBay.
While I don't think many sellers will move over that way for quite some time, I can see that at some stage it will happen.
No one here wants to admit it, but if the buyer's are moving over then the sellers may have to follow.
Pity it is owned by eBay though

I must be missing something. Are you talking about the Views/Watchers stats being listed somewhere other than in the "Active Listings" section? I've always had them there. Or, are you talking about them now being located elsewhere?
Looking forward to your response.
