I specified Pick up only , and the buyer lives in Sydney, im in Melbourne and he asked me to pack this rather large item so he can
organise posting, and has already paid via paypal. This is the first item i have ever sold on Ebay and am unfamiliar withselling.
Am i taking a risk of futher surprises from this buyer who has allready ignored the postage arrangement for the sale, thak you.

Make sure you include signature on delivery in your costings.
Is the buyer organising a courier? or are you posting via Australia Post?
In any case - insure the item, and signature on delivery. Keep records and be firm about what you will and won't do and make sure your buyer knows your position. Good luck!

I wouldn't do it - I would refund the money - it was pick up only -

curra, the OP stated in his 1st message that the buyer is organising Pick Up. The item is an Automotive Part. ( large or small wasn't stated ) I suggested to him to contact the Buyer and find out more details as to how the Item was to be collected. Courier, or it may have been by Family, Friend, etc who could then deliver it to buyer. The seller, I think is panicking before he knows what the Buyer intends what to do.

I would tell the buyer you are happy for them to arrange for a third party to pack and collect the item however you are unable to do more than that as an inability to package it is why you listed it as pick up only.

I don't think the OP should be expected to do this, that's all.
