and it said the address is not the mailing address.
the paypal came through, and yes it is different and the same as the checkout one.
I have been caught before and sent to the registered one, ( which could be years old.)now I check both paypal and the Ebay one . One step in the right direction. But too many things in the wrong direction.

A different delivery address is not uncommon - approximately 25% of my buyers provide a different address when going through checkout to the address provided on the item sold email.
The address to send it to is the address on the Paypal payment as that is the address the buyer has specified the item is to be sent to.

Congratulations, a sale. I seem to be doing a lot more buying than selling at the moment.
As to delivery, I state
"We use the name and address advised by Paypal. If you are known by a different name or live at a different address, please advise us." but I guess not every one reads this so I check Order Details and Paypal, so far always been the same.

stampingpaws - the paypal address always matches the address on the order details as the checkout system automatically updates the order details to the delivery address which the buyer provides when going through checkout.
In many cases though this is not the registered address which comes through on the item sold email notification. A lot of sellers will post to the address on the item sold email but the correct address to post to is the one provided when the buyer goes through checkout.

Buyers sometimes want their parcel sent to their work address or they are buying something as a gift for family/friend and want it sent straight to the person they are buying for (saves the buyer double postage costs)..

So they use the relevant address at checkout.

That is what I meant. As in... not unusual ( not a scam) for buyers to have a different address for delivery of the item they purchased (different from their registered residential address).

I have often had buyers change their paypal address, they are buying a gift, and want it posted to the paypal address.
Always use the paypal address for postage.
