I just listed an item for sale and Ebay has added another piece of useless junk - UPS. (Unit Pricing Code is what I assume it means). Why would you put a barcode number as part of the description and who has the time to create their own.
Another usless "innovation" from Ebay......
Everybody say "YAY FOR EBAY" not.

I can't see it being a useful addition for me, but could be for sellers with high volumes of stock/turnover, or those who use fulfillment services (if the UPC is added to sales records or invoices, anyway).

Not much use to me either, in fact I just learnt what it was - I had no idea. LOL If I want to know my stock levels, I just go and have a look at the shelves - not too hard yet. Think I'd need to more than quadruple my stock before things got that desperate.

Good idea.
Why?
Because it allows 'customers' to be out and about (or at home), scan the barcode of an item using their smartphone/tablet using say.. the ebay app and they can then find it easily on ebay at a better price/availability.
It is not something I do at this time, but perhaps in the future?
