Wanting postage difference back

I had a buyer asking for the difference of the postage back after he has recieved and payed for it, In all my years of selling I have heard something so dumb, set price he payed I sent he got that should be it.

I realize the differences, just it was a broad example of if you purchase something then get overcharged you get ticked off and want a refund.

I didn't mean to cause any offence, I was just pointing out that the only thing that allows someone to presume or think that they have been overcharged is the fact that a portion of the cost price is displayed on a package.

Great to see there was a good outcome. Good luck in the future.  🙂

Re: Wanting postage difference back

bilbo,

so sad to see people like that - who agree to something, ie. the total price - and then they go back on it!

Extremely poor taste.

I detest anyone who does that - especially to those who can least afford it, like the sellers here.

Between buyers like that and Ebay who also take their cut sellers  must feel there is always someone with the hand out, chipping away and stripping even a little profit that would have been gained from the sale, packing and driving to post it.

You'd think that buyers would be exactly the oposite, recognise and support the need for people to make a bit of profit in order to sustain their selling abilities in a what seems to be a most hostile enviroment like Ebay.

And if and when I see the neg. f/back on the seller's account mentioning something about being overcharged on postage - I know that that buyer would have seen and agreed to the price at the time of sale as no seller can amend it or add anything afterwards.

I wander what people like that do when big stores deliver something to them - and charge them $150 to deliver in the same suburb.

Do they go back to the store and mouth of how "it wasn't worth the money as I live just around the corner and I know for a fact that it took you 10min. even with two sets of traffic lights, and no more than 10 bucks worth of petrol to get here"

Re: Wanting postage difference back

What big stores charge $150 to deliver to next suburb?

$50 is what most stores charge for delivery for  furniture and large appliances. Delivered to your house, furniture brought inside, washing machines installed.. good value. Often 2 men in the truck for large item delivery.

am*3

large, very up market furniture store on Pacific Hwy in Chatswood area.

But theirs is a flat rate, weather you live around the corner or further.

And you are splitting hairs here - to drive anywhere that close it still wouldn't be $50 in petrol if we use your delivery stores as an example, being equal to buyers equating to the stamp value on the parcels  as if that was the only cost to the seller.

There is also a labour and packing used to post or deliver an item to the buyer.
