Ebay need to educate members like this.
Edited for obvious reasons.
" hi i put a bid on this item and won the bid.i went to pay for it but it comes up that this item is not available.can u please contact me on ************* thanks. "
My response
"Hi, you purchased this item on the 24th April and it is now the 27th May. That is why it is unavailable"
Needless to say they were sent a reminder before an UPI was opened then closed.

One of my recent experiences -
I had a buyer for a low value item ($13-$14 with postage) - they made contact & said could they have an extended time = a couple of weeks to pay, if they bought.
I said yes, at least the person was good enough to ask first & a sale is a sale!
I replied that so long as you let me know when you will pay so I can mark the invoice "payment to be received by that specific date that we both agreed to).
Buyer bought - then sent emailing saying she would pay by (eg 4/12/14) = 4 months time. (date just used as an example)
I quickly replied & said, I hope that was a typo, don't you mean by 4/9/14 = 1 month
She replied, yes sorry, it was a typo - will pay by 4/9/14 or earlier.
1 week prior to the agreed payment date, I sent a 2nd invoice stating ** REMINDER ** as agreed payment for this item is due by 4/9/14.
No reply.
On 5/9/14 opened a dispute as it was 31 days.
No response to dispute.
Buyer gets a strike.
Bad thing is - from previous feedback that same buyer had done similar to other sellers 12-18 months ago.
I've not had any further correspondence from that buyer. Shame when people have to do things like that which just wastes everyones time & in the meantime someone else may have purchased.
When the strikes are so far apart the buyer continues to buy & default.
They don't even have to change their user name to do it.
