Watermarking photos - help please

Have started listing on new ID and realise photos aren't uploading with watermark.  Have searched (quickly) and cannot find anywhere to indicate I would like to add watermark.  I'm sure at some point way back on this ID I just ticked a box - somewhere ?  Can anyone please steer me in the right direction before I upload too many more without it ?

Thanks in advance for any help Smiley Happy

When you're creating a listing, click the 'Add or remove options' link to bring up the window of extra options, then select 'Photos' from the menu, and the watermark option will be there. 🙂

Thanks again, found it & working fine now, lol, along with a few other options I found in there Smiley LOL

So long since I've actually started a listing from scratch I had totally forgotten lots of things Smiley Embarassed

I had noticed the 'Insert' button was missing when I was listing & thought perhaps now they have changed the way you follow sellers etc that may have been why, but hahaha, I managed to get the box to appear, I just can't work out how to add the links now - doh, I am so hopeless - any clues on this one also ?

That one I'm not too sure about - I created some inserts ages ago, but I haven't used them in a while. The only one I do use sometimes is the link to other items, where you can generate a little image and link to something else. I'll have a look and see if I can figure it out, though (unless someone else knows how it's done 🙂 ).

Ok, I had a look and mine seem to be functioning as normal - if I select one from the dropdown menu, I just get the standard text and link inserted into the description (just testing it on a blank listing page, so there's no template or anything). I have an old insert that was an off-site link, and if I try to insert that, it just opens the page in a pop-up window, but all the eBay links and non-link text inserts go straight into the description, wherever I position the cursor.

If you're trying to create a new insert, though, from memory there's a maximum you can have and you need to delete older ones (via edit) to create / save new ones.

Thank you so much, I just wanted to add the stock standard - Check out my other Items & Add to Favourite Sellers, nothing too fancy at this stage.  I didn't expect you to waste too much time on my account and had starting typing a message, which I've now edited, because my laptop decided to spit the dummy - seems to be all fixed now.  Fingers crossed.

I managed to revise one listing and get it working before the laptop crashed : select one from the dropdown menu & all the eBay links (and non-link) text inserts go straight into the description, wherever I position the cursor seemed to be the clue - somehow I don't think I was doing it in the correct order.

Your help and advice is always much appreciated (and you never make me feel stupid, although I know I am Smiley Surprised) - thank you so much

No you're not 😛 though eBay has a penchant for making it easy to feel stupid sometimes.

I have this theory that that's why the Help section is such a mess, and the community links were all but hidden - rather than adopting a "don't ask, don't tell" policy, eBay went for the "don't tell, and hope people stop asking" route. Smiley Surprised Smiley LOL

Hahaha, that is so true - even when I manage to locate the help pages, they rarely answer the question I have or explain in sufficient detail how to do things Smiley LOL

Thank you again for your help, patience & great spirit when sharing
