I constantly have people watching my goods for sale. Most never buy. Would it not be fair to see, as a seller, who keeps watching?

I like lots of watchers on my items. It lets me know it will sell.
All of my items that have high numbers of watchers sell more quickly and at higher prices than those that have little interest. Other sellers disagree with this, but this is my experience.
I am curious as to who watches my goods sometimes. I would certainly like to know if particular sellers or any of my regulars have their eye on something.

On the other site, watchers have the option to be identifiable, so you can not only see who's watching (if they are happy to be seen), but you can contact them with a special offer, and they automatically get a system message to let them know whenever you have a store sale.

Not really. What difference would it make? You wouldn't be able to contact the watchers, if you knew their id's.

Why? People can watch what they want, can't make them buy.
I don't know or care who is watching anything i list.

I'm loving the Alannah Hill dresses you have up! Yep I'm watching them. I'm surprised that beautiful size 6 Cue dress hasn't been snapped up yet.Sorry,I'm too tired now to write a better comment, lucky no-one expects that from me anyways

awww fanks, Narelle.
I am surprised that Cue dress has not been snapped up too !!! though size 6's are a bit slower than other sizes.

What's wrong with skinny girls these days? One of the joys of being that size is knowing that you don't have to try stuff on 'cos you know it will fit & Cue is always standard Aus sizing.
Anyhoo ni ni cats,my brain too slow & it's annoying me.

I dunno, as a seller I love the watchers. As Cats said, helps me to know which ones are going to sell.
As a buyer, if I knew the seller could see my ID, let alone contact me, I would be alot more conscious about watching and probably wouldn't. Especially bad for auctions as I like to bid at the last minute. If they make IDs visible, I don't think this would be good for sellers. Maybe that is one of the problems with the other site.
