Weirdo using my Kaftan for sexual fantasies and eBay letting him return it!

I need to vent!  Sold $159 silk satin leopard kaftan.  Guy messaged me about his sexual fantasies wearing silk satin.   Then he opens return request saying it wasn’t charmeuse silk, which it wasn’t advertised as.   Got onto supervisor who said there was no evidence that he has used my Kaftan for his fantasies and won’t help me refuse the return.  What do they think he bought it for!   I won’t even be able to touch it let alone resell it.

ii read that if item not returned in original condition you can refund up to 50% off for loss.  Any returns I,ve had have been automatically deducted by eBay once delivered   Anyone know how to avoid this. As I,m sure you can imagine what will be on it!

I don’t care what someone wants to do, but when they want to return it after using for that particular purpose isn’t acceptable

UPDATE. Ebay said I had to accept return.  They had no proof it wasn’t the fabric on the tag!   So before I paid the return postage I asked him if he wanted to keep it as a reduced price.  He called me a f..ing b...ch and troublemaker and said it was cheap rubbish and should be thrown in the bin and he never wants to talk to me again.

then today he emailed me and asked if the offer was still open.   I refunded him $40 he asked for.

Thought it better to accept loss than trying to get ebay to allow me to give a partial refund depending on what state it was in.

Ok, look. How many usernames do you have?

Secondly, you say (again), that this buyer has verbally abused you and also made false accusations. You can go to live chat with an ebay rep and tell them this. More than likely they'll close the case in your favour because the buyer violated the rules of not being abusive on ebay.

You didn't have to refund him anything, but if you're happy with paying him that $40, then good for you.

I think ebay made the wrong call on this one and you should not have had to accept the return. Sometimes their decisions defy logic.

But.. since they made that decision, I can totally understand why you refunded the $40. A few years ago I was in a position as seller where someone was angling for a bit of a refund and in the end it was just more cost effective than to pay for return postage etc.

Went against the grain and we bitterly resented having to do it, but sometimes you have to be practical and cut your losses.

Isn't it amazing though-your buyer says it is cheap rubbish and should be put in the bin but he was willing to keep it @ $40 off. Prepared to pay $ 119 for it. So I think it is obvious this is just a weirdo scammer. Hope he is on your blocked list.
