What are the requirements for the free automatic relisting?

I noticed today that my most recent listings stopped relisting automatically. When I create a new listing, revise an existing one, or manually relist, the option for free automatic relisting isn't there anymore. At first I thought eBay changed their policies again, but according to the help section, this function still exists. Just to be doubly sure, I created a new dummy account and when I went to create a listing, the free automatic relist option was there.

I had a quick look online and it seems other people have the same problem, but also no proper answers. I tried clearing my browser cache as some have recommended, and even used different browsers and computers, but still nothing.

Are there some kind of unwritten requirements for the free relistings? I haven't done anything new or different so I don't understand why they've just taken it away from me. I'm not a store seller either, so it shouldn't be a problem on that front.

Any ideas??

Re: What are the requirements for the free automatic relisting?

You only get 3 free relists after that I assume you have to create a new listing and start again. You can't expect constant free relisting.

Re: What are the requirements for the free automatic relisting?

I'm aware of this. Once an item relists three times and if it doesn't sell, it ends up in the Unsold section. The problem is when I create new listings, whether from scratch or using sell similar, the tick box for automatic relisting is NOT there.

I also wanted to point out I only discovered this when my new listings stopped relisting and did not offer the option to. I'm not expecting constant free relisting.

Apparently if you are a Power Seller you no longer have access to free relisting ๐Ÿ˜ž eBay Customer Support just advised me of this.

Re: What are the requirements for the free automatic relisting?

eBay CS have been saying that for ages.

It's not true, though.

Can't help sorry, alien. All the fixes I've heard of involve caches, cookies and/or different browsers.

Maybe a reboot?

Nonsense, one of my non store ids has PS status and I get the free relists.

You haven't by any chance registered as a business account have you?

Re: What are the requirements for the free automatic relisting?

I contacted eBay three times this morning, just to see what they had to say about it and if they would be consistent in their answers. The first person gave me the Power Seller excuse, which as far as I'm concerned is nonsense because I had gotten Power Seller long before the automatic relistings option was even a thing. The second two gave me the same answer, so I'm going to go with what they said as being more accurate.

Basically, if you sell over $10,000 in a 12 months, you are no longer eligible. The twelve month period is a continuous thing, so today it's from 12 months from the 14th of January 2014 and tomorrow will be the 15th for example. I had no idea I had sold that much, but according to my eBay stats I had so who knows.

All three help people also said something about the relisting function being available only for casual sellers only. Whatever the case may be, eBay really need to update their help pages as far as I'm concerned because they say nothing about any of these circumstances.

Re: What are the requirements for the free automatic relisting?

Maybe it is the $10K thing because being a powerseller, I still have the option. I haven't sold anywhere near 10 grand. I'm still not convinced though because there seems to be quite a few people having the same issue at the moment.

Re: What are the requirements for the free automatic relisting?

There is definitely a $$$ limit - and around $10K maybe a bit more .....  aaarrrrrghhhhh i 100% read a dot point summary of the policy on the weekend ...... (not the long relist version)

it was short and spiffy .....

where has it gone ?????

Re: What are the requirements for the free automatic relisting?

There is supposedly a limit (10k or 12k since eBay can't keep their story straight) and it's worked out for a 12 month period. After checking the stats in my Seller Dashboard, the problem is I have absolutely zero idea how this 12 month period is actually worked out. According to the people I talked to today, it's done on a daily basis, but on my Seller Dashboard there are very clear and specific dates, e.g. 12 months:01 Dec, 2013 - 30 Nov, 2014 and 12 months:01 Jan, 2014 - 31 Dec, 2014

If these dates are correct, then technically I should have the free relisting function because there's no way I could have sold over 10k since the 1st of January this year and the 12 month period ended on the 31 of December 2014.
