Just a general discussion I guess on why people "get off" on bidding and winning items they have no intention of buying. These are usually sellers with zero or very little feedback. Why would anyone want to waste their time being such a nuisance?
Yes, I've set up auto non-payers, blocked bad bidders, etc and every big clearout sale I do, I get some of these. Although with all these blocks I've set in place now, not as many as I was getting previously.
Can't we get rid of these pests sooner than the standard 8 days for the unpaid dispute process? Isn't there more Ebay can do about this?
Thanks - interested in all opinions on the subject!

Yes they are a bit of a nuisance but...
We just raise a UPI dispute after 7-days (our choice). That gets back FVF if they still don't pay and they get a strike. Then just move on. Don't lose any sleep over it.
We don't use auction format (too expensive) unless ebay offer free listings. So the loss of the $1.50 insertion fee never comes into it.
We have our settings set to block the non-payers to help minimise it.

I must say that of the few non payers I have had there have been just as many with high feedback as low.

None of my non-payers have been trolls. I have never heard a peep out of them much less a provocative statement.

Just closed two cases for two buy-it-now low feedback non-paying pests on this ID - of course when all the strikes hit they will just move onto new id with fake phone number in ebay contact details cause the system has inadequate verification or identity checks in place for buyers.
