What is the difference between Cancel Sale and Lodge Unpaid item case for the seller?

Hi,

As the title says ... Buyer does not respond (nor pay), but ebay charged me the final value fee. Ebay advised me to initiate a 'cancel transaction' and NOT an unpaid item case. This is mind blowing to me ... as I did not want to cancel my sale at all!

Any ideas??

Thanks!

Ah sorry, kikkiboon, I was leading you up the garden path.Smiley Sad

Yes, if a buyer declines a cancellation is what i should have said.

I am amazed you were able to list something on ebay with only a bank account, I thought it was compulsory to have paypal or something like it and I would have thought the system could be set up so that was the case.

I understand what you are saying about people being able to pay cash on pick up, but all the same, paying into a bank account is riskier than paypal in my eyes.

If I had sold something though and someone didn't pay, and didn't even do me the courtesy of sending a message, I would be putting in an unpaid item dispute so they would get a strike against their name.

But it is your call. I guess I am just getting grouchy & vindictive in my old age.Cat Mad
