Hello,
I have 2 items listed both for local pickup only. What payment method should I choose, PP or cash on delivery. Please help, I'm a bit confused.

You have to offer a safe payment method even though it's pick up, so you should offer PayPal or Paymate. If it's a large item then cash on delivery would probably work out too expensive. Therefore you would be far better offering cash on pickup.
You can specify in your listing that you would prefer cash on pick up. If I buyer pays via PayPal, there is no protection anyway, so a bit pointless. If they pay with PayPal using a credit card, they could then initiate a chargeback down the track and you'd be pretty stoofed.

Unless you have paymate - paypal is compulsory on all your listings.
Do not choose "cash on delivery" that is an Aust Post method
Choose "pay on pickup"

I just checked your listings, I would be inclined to remove the cash on delivery option because it would be VERY expensive to offer that service. Cash on delivery is NOT cash on pick up.

I am pretty sure that Payment on Pick Up only appears as an option when a seller has accrured a certain amount of postive feedback with no claims.
Can't find the policy anymore - the help pages and the site map is a mess.

You can still mention in your listing description that you would prefer cash on pick up, you just may not be able to select it as a payment option. If a buyer gives you cash on pick up, you can then mark your item as being paid and then mark it as being sent.

I am wrong.
I have been wrong on this before
Here is the thread where I was wrong before and also provides the solution that explains how to get it to appear as an option

As ilovemysheep suggested, write - Cash on pick up - in the description of your listing.
There is no buyer protection for buyers from Paypal, with a pick up item, so there is no advantge for buyers to pay with Paypal
On pick up day, the buyer can inspect item first, then if they are happy item is as described, they can pay for it with cash.
