Hi guys & gals I have done the figures on free listings vs. the store cost
But are there any other advantages like better results in eBay search etc?
Thanks

The day will come oneday when the Featured Store will get the boot. eBay wants serious sellers, not casual sellers. Thats why the Basic Store got the boot. Oneday, the Featured Store will go and a store on eBay will cost $500 for an Anchor Store
I agree that things won't stay the same as they are now forever, but that is the nature of online sales and ebay has always been evolving.
I wouldn't plan on running any kind of business soley around the 30 free listings just as I wouldn't expect the featured store to always stay as it is now.
As for answering the OP, in addition to 30 day listings that accumulate sales history (which can give you a boost in search rankings) stores offer the opportunity to send marketing emails to clients that opt in, give you access to free sales and traffic reports & free selling manger pro, provide a number of custom pages so that you can customise and personalise your store to give you a professional image, give you access to mark down manager and vacation settings, give you a static URL for marketing purposes and the ability to customise communications with buyers such as invoices 🙂

I would ditch my store if I had less than 100 listings, offering at least 150 single items when taking multiples and multi variants into account.
I still use the 30 free listings to list auction items and have just started using another id to list BIN with Best Offer items.
The more irons in the fire the better.
