The message reads.
From early 2013, all sellers will be required to upload at least one picture for each listing. Pictures will need to be at least 500 pixels on the longest side however we recommend 1600 pixels as a minimum length so you can take full advantage of eBay picture services including Supersize. Other picture requirements to be introduced next year include the removal of text and borders (watermarking will continue to be allowed).
Oh come on! My Pics work fine!
My pics are smaller for good reason.
They load quicker, and any bigger they will be too slow for some computers.
ALSO
Any finer size and it means someone else can copy the pic with good pixels.
I don't want my pics copied! I work hard on taking photo's and reconfiguring them to be just right for my listings.
I don't want to have to re-load more defined pics of everything!
Grrrr!

We could also note the fact that larger pictures chew threw more credit for mobile users also, now that this fact has been point out.
Common sense.....it will be common again....one day

It is possible to increase the picture size without increasing the file size.
Surely the restriction only applies to the ebay pictures at the top, presumably you will be able to continue to add pictures of any size you want if you use web hosting and put them in the description.

Most of the posts on these boards quote a comment by someone, don't be so sensitive, it is just a discussion, quite sure no one is trying to have a go at you both, no matter how annoying you are(n't)
