I just received a bid on one of my items in the last few minutes and as per usual, I checked his feedback left for others. Out of 10 feedback left for others, he's left 4 negs, 1 neutral, which was revised, and 2 of the positives are pretty watery and one of them is a revised feedback. I don't know whether I should cancel the bid, or let it go and risk a new colour dot on my feedback. At this point, this item has the most page views out of everything (35) and has 3 watchers, so I guess there is a chance someone else may bid, but I really don't know what to do. Even more so because if finishes in 16 hours......
I'm wondering what the more experienced sellers would do in this situation?

Had a buyer that tried to blackmail me into giving a refund while they kept the item. Checked their feedback and it looked OK, but then someone on this board suggested I look at the feedback the buyer gave to sellers.
That was a whole different story. Upsetting as a seller to see so many bad comments being given by my buyer. So then I was sure this guy was blackmailing sellers. (There were other clues about the scam too)
I reported this to eBay right away. Had a long chat with eBay Cust Service and they read the emails going between buyer and me. The matter was sent to their fraud department or whatever it's called.
Bad news was the guy left me really bad feedback and then offered to remove it if I gave the refund. It was a low cost item, but wearing my white hat, I just could not give into this scam.
Good news ... eBay removed the bad feedback. Yea the good guys won this time.
So yes, you might be facing a problem with your buyer. Only you can decide that. Trust your gut feelings.
If you do decide to cancel the sale, make sure you put that guy on your ban list BEFORE relisting the item. When you Relist it tells bookmarked buyers that your auction has been relisted. So you won't necessarily lose potential buyers.
Good luck ... Pam

As it was, I slept in, so it was a case of up, shower, out the door for work in less than 10mins (thank goodness I only live 5 mins from work!). Mobile coverage is pathetic at work, despite staring straight at a large mobile tower on the mountain, so I didn't get a chance to cancel. The offending buyer won the auction. Now I just have to cross my fingers and hope for the best. I did mention in the invoice to please contact me before leaving neutral or negative feedback (which I do for most people), so hopefully if there is an issue he does.
I don't think he's a scammer in that he keeps asking for a refund, I think he might just be hard to please. One of his feedbacks was for an item that was broken en route, which I can kind of understand, but I wonder if he tried to contact the seller first to see if they could replace or refund. At least what he bought off me shouldn't get broken.....unless it gets run over by a train 😄
