What would you do as a seller, buyer of used DVD's with Zero feedback

I sold a 3 DVD set, Used. The buyer is in NSW, has zero feedback but a member since 31 Dec, 2012

I charged $7.95 for the postage.

I am suspicious (zero feedback) especially with Ebays policies re looking after the buyers.

FYI, I tend to move any money in PayPal out pretty quickly after it arrives by sending it to

another paypal account belonging to someone else.

So, I am thinking I might send it registered post, requiring a signature.

Any thoughts ?

Would you send them registered or just post them normally ?

I could post them express 500gm Post bag which has a tracking number ?

The worst that can happen now is that the buyer pays, then vents his anger by leaving four negatives. The 4 day wait to close the UPI is always the longest 4 days you'll ever have to wait.

I always stress for those 4 days too. I guess that's where the UPI Assistant is handy because if that automatically opens the case, the buyer is blocked from leaving feedback. That said, they can still then pay and trash the feedback and stars.

Most of the buyers I've opened cases on don't pay, but the couple that did, I worried about them retaliating. Thankfully, 1 didn't leave feedback at all and the other left positive with 5 stars. She paid 12 hours before the case could be closed and she sent a message apologising profusely, with whatever excuse she gave me. When she left the good feedback, I figured her excuse must have been genuine.

You were very fortunate then. That is the reason I've just decided not to leave feedback for buyers any more until after they've left feedback first, or at the very least, acknowledged receipt of their item via email. I really don't like having to do it that way but eBay's new MBG has pretty much forced my hand. A pox on bloody eBay, and Paypal too for that matter.
