Hi Everyone,
Just wanting to get an idea of when it is the best time to leave feedback for your buyers?
I had always thought the best thing was to leave feedback when the buyer pays you, but lately I never seem to get feedback in return.
Is it wrong to state in your description that you will leave feedback for them when they leave it for you,
I am getting a bit tired of doing the seemingly right thing but no one seems to do it in return to me.
Thanks for your thoughts, Chris ๐

As feedback is voluntary it does not need to be left at all.
But I leave it after it has been left for me as I then know the item has arrived and they are happy.
If there is none left or nothing heard then assume all is good and move on.

I leave it after I have posted. As buyer feedback is essentially irrelevant, it doesn't really matter when you leave it. Get about 80% in return.

i set my account up to leave feedback automatically.
So i don't have to worry about it.
I've got more important things to worry about than feedback.
Like e.g) making sure my items are packaged and sent out quickly to my buyers.

Feedback is one of the last steps I do when sending. I do my post and get everything packed, then do feedback next. This may not be strictly "correct" but it is just a system that i have worked out. That then is the last thing I have to do before I walk out the door. One positive thing I have found by doing it this way, I do remember who its going to, and I find I can pick and choose the comment that relates pretty well to that particular buyer. But that's just me, many others will have different ways and ideas I am sure.

I leave feedback for a buyer when I know they have received the item & they are happy with it. To me the transaction is not over until the customer is happy. Sometimes they have the wrong size & want to return it. Or, it just does not suit them
They don't necessarily have to leave me feedback at all. Sometimes I get a message that all is well & they are happy. It is at this point I will leave feedback

The safest way is to wait til you've heard from the buyer, either via email or by them leaving feedback for yoU so you know everything is ok.
In reality it's not important, so do what you want and leave the other person to do the same.

I leave feedback once it is left for me, after the buyer contacts me to say they have received the item or it is coming up to the 60 day limit.

I don't wait for feedback to be left for me, Not sure why this is considered the "safest" method. A seller can always leave a follow up comment at a later date, if needs be. Have only had to do this a few times over a few years.
I leave feedback when I have received payment and posted. The feedback I leave indicates my thanks, as well as confirmation of actual date of post.
For other buyers who may have a look at my feedback, among other things, it may indicate to them that I get things into the post asap ๐
