Why do sellers insist on listing their items as "free postage" when they mean pickup only.

So frustrating and wasted time when searching the list for an item and it is listed as free postage when the item is pickup only. Is the selling process on ebay so complicated that it con't be completed without a seller incorrectly listing htis information?

There is a fair chance that you are looking at items through an app. Anecdotally the eBay app has issues with pickup. Or any sort of postage. Try using a computer and see how you go.

Yes - it is very confusing for inexperienced sellers when trying to list something on ebay to show the pick up only option.

It is a very common mistake made by sellers.

It's probaby not the seller but the way eBay handles this situation (which has a zero cost for postage)

Bit unfair, acutally very unfair, to blame sellers when it is ebay that displays local pick up only as FREE postage in the search results.
