Why my busniess slow down from last weekend?

hi,

I am a new seller on Ebay. Actually, I just start to sell items about 3weeks ago. From the day after I first put my listing on it, sales is good for me for a new ebayer, and I sold about 40 items in 2weeks . But, I don't know why I did not sell much from last Friday. Is it normal? who can tell me why? thanks a lot!

The Olympics is on. Plus traffic on ebay can be very up and down. You can have your best week ever followed by your worst week ever. It is just the nature of the game

As kazbar has said things can be up and down here. I find Fridays are often slow for me, and the weekend was a little slow too.

Also when items are newly listed they get a bit of a boost in the search results which can help sales. I have found newly listed items can start selling within an hour for this reason. The they can slow down.

Another thing I have found is that at ceratin times of the month sales can slow right down and then pick up again. It may have something to do with how the best match algorithm is working at the time. For example it may be giving preference to free post items, newly listed items, TRS or soemthing else at any particular point in time.

As many others will say, it is best to monitor your sales over a monthly or quarterly period rather than focus on a few days as sales patterns are erratic for many sellers.

Thanks for your answer. I was very surprise that I sold a lot in the first week ,but then I sell nothing these days. yes, you are right , I must learn to face it . It is normally!!! hope it will be better later!!!

Over time, through return customers and a higher feedback/ reputation, you'll find that your sales will even out week to week.

Definately keep on trading the way you are. your reputation is going to explode you into the big time.

Just a couple of tips

1-English is obviously not your 1st language so have someone check what you're writing

2-Your TOS-terms of sale-just ramble on & on

3-Telling potential buyers to go look for you on the internet COULD be seen to be encouraging off ebay sales

4-Your listing for mat makes mention of a MALE but on your ME page,it states you only have a daughter
