I guess you could always do the ol' pros / cons list thing and see which one turns out longer. Personally I think it's almost a "moot" status these days - it no longer gives you access to additional listing features (every member can now use multiple-quantity / variant formats), but at the same time you now still qualify for the 40 free listings for non-store holders even if made a PS (one of the biggest complaints about achieving PS status was that people lost free listings). It's a requirement for TRS / TRS+, if those things are important...plus you get access to a dedicated PS forum.
I guess if you want any of the above features that are accessable only to PS's...

you attain PS status when you have sold 100 items for a total in excess of $1,000 in 12 months, and meet a few other criteria about your DSR stars / Feedback %
it is not something you want / desire or can control really, other than stopping selling if you dont Want it.
