Will I be charged monthly fee whether or not I place an item for sale

Wplease let me know whether ebay would be charging monthly fee irrespective of me placing an item for sale. I am confused and feel that I will be charged $9.90 every month as ongoing fees. Please clarify as soon as possible. Your explanation in ebay help is not clear.
Trust you will not charge. If you are going to charge I will cancel my account and advise credit card company to stop payments.

This board is not used by eBay. We are just members like you.

You shouldn't get charged anything unless you sell something or you run out of free listings or have a shop. Unless you have subscribed to something like selling manager pro.

I have no idea what you would be being charged $9.90 for; what does your invoice say?

If you have a store, I do believe you still pay the monthly sub fee to just maintain the store front even if your not selling during that month.
