What I find wierd is that 1 item may fit 100 items, yet you need to put a UPC number.

It is unrealistic.

Even our suppliers dont list the numbers.. too many.

If I know, i will put it.

In your category I think you will find the UPC is optional but the MPN (Manufacturers Part Number) and Brand Name are required  - otherwise you need to add Does Not Apply into those fields.

You still have 4 listings where you need to change replacing to replacement, but a lot of your titles are looking much better. A lot of buyers just look at the title and picture, so it's good to have as much info in the title as space will permit.

I clicked on a few listings at random and some still have replacing rather than replacement in the description. I understand it takes time to edit each listing, so am sure you'll get around to that.

Maybe add some item specifics? Even just a brand name if there is one. Having item specifics can sometimes push you further up the best match search and also allows extra search terms that buyers might search for.

I see you are still listing your parts as Brand New.  There are two issues with this, firstly we discussed last week that they really should be listed as New Old Stock, so that buyers can't claim they are used because of any oxidisation that may have occurred in storage.  Secondly, you will have to either list with UPC numbers or make sure you select Does Not Apply on each listing and hope you get away with it, eBay are beginning to remove listings for this now.

Yeh,

I really got to get rid of those few generic photos.

My uneducated knowledge there.

They do not oxidize.

It is the colour diference in the composition of copper/carbon.

The customer thought they were old as I had the length longer in the add and the ones they recieved were shorter. I did correct the add.

I took the measurement off a catologue.

I have listed many as new old stock, but in reality some are new sealed.

I really picked up on what people have said.. no stock photos.. measure everything manually.

I put new old if there is a defect in appearance. Or they actually are old.

But in gener they are still inside the box.

No comment on this"

Fair enough, but just be prepared for eBay to remove your listings if they do not have either the UPC or the Does Not Apply option entered.  There are lots of reports this week that they have started doing that.  This is an area where you are not going to be able to say "it takes too long, it is not practical"  if you want to keep lisitng,  eBay have made it MANDATORY in many categories and I believe yours is one of them.

Rome wasn't built in a day. It takes time to get things just right. I'd be going back over all your earlier threads (if you haven't already) and re read the replies you got. There are some very good suggestions. No-one is going to post a suggestion to just waste your time. I doubt anyone here wants to see any new seller fail.

If there are a lot of changes to be made, e.g adding as many item specifics as you can, or putting in the description what makes or models it fits, do a few per day. If you think about doing them all at once it gets quite overwhelming and pushed into the too hard basket. Set yourself a goal of say 10 a day to edit. Look at what other sellers of similar items are doing in their listings. Obviously you wouldn't copy what they're doing, but you can get some good ideas of what info might be needed to make your business successful. If you get your listings just right, you will have a very successful business.
