a buyer has purchased two items i could get them both into a 5kg bag but ebay won't let me combine

a buyer has purchased two items from me,i always combine postage but now ebay won't let me.so instead of being $16.70 it's going to be $30.10 we are going to lose buyers at this rate regards kath

Why won't ebay let you combine into one invoice and charge whatever postage you wish?  Has the buyer already pais for one utem?

the buyer had already paid,i tried to combine the postage as i thought it wasn't fair to let her pay so much.there was no way i could adjust the postage price,so i refunded the $13.40 through paypal,is there a way to combine the postage in future,thank you jfmgray for your reply i really appreciate it

Message the buyer, thank them for the purchase, and adivse you will be refunding the difference in the postage to their paypal account.

That's where the problem is and why you couldn't combine postage after the sale.

Once they pay, that's it. We can only combine invoices before payment
