advice please - when is the best time for an 'auction' listing to finish?

Being new and not having much experience with auction listings I'd apprecate your opinion

It really depends on what you are selling and who your buyers are. Think about when your typical buyers are most likely to be checking listings on eBay. Check out completed auctions of similar items to see which days and times worked best.

Avoid ending auctions on Fridays during maintenance time (usually about 4pm-7pm) and avoid finishing times when there are high profile shows/sporting events on TV.

And I usually make sure I list for to include at least one weekend.

If pick up items, I think finishing at lunchtime on Sat is good to allow buyers to pick up that day or Sunday.

Otherwise between 7-9pm weekdays when most are home.
