Infamy stood Ned Kelly in good stead.... And I think he made stole some money, though other people make a lot more from his name now.
If I could be notoriously bad at something (easy) but still win the public's favour (while I'm still around to enjoy the benefits :D) (not so easy), and the reputation didn't extend to my items or service (even harder), I could handle a little infamy.
