And the buyer can not do a chargeback.
Not sure why so many do not like echeques as it is still a payment.

I would hate to be in a position where I relied on eBay sales to live. Given you never know when something is going to sell and when you will get paid.
It is not unusual for buyers to not pay until after a dispute has been opened, so an echeque is at least as fast as that.

I send a message to buyers that have an e-cheque as payment, thankyou for your payment, item posted as soon as your echeque clears etc. Sometimes they are surprised as they did not select e-cheque.
Reason being, I discovered that PayPal sometimes turn a payment into an e-cheque if a lot of payments are made on an account or of higher priced items, without notifying buyer. If it goes un-noticed by the buyer, they may not realise the reason for the lengthy postage time.

Buyer pays on day 1 with echeque, clears on day 5.
Buyer makes instant payment on day 4 and initiates chargeback on day 90!
I know which one I would rather have 😉

Morning - PayPal also make the payment as 'e.cheque' if there have been previous difficulties with the buyers bank account or PayPal account - it's a safeguard for sellers and I for one like the safeguard being in place - have a great week everyone 😄

my payments are always via e-cheque. if you are going to be a seller on ebay then you need to learn to be a little patient.
