can i create a markdown sale on multi variations?

I have created some different sales that are working fine. However, one of mine with a multi variation won't begin. Is there an issue creating a sale with a multi variation item?

Last time I had a sale I got a notification that the multi vatiant items could not be included. This was some time ago but it looks as if there has been no change.

That seems odd, as I've never had a problem adding a variation listing to a sale and AFAIK there aren't too many requirements aside from the item having been listed for at least 7 days and price after discount must be at least $1.

DG it was a while ago when that happened so perhaps it is no longer a problem, perhaps the OP should call ebay.
