Hi guys
If I have a website, say, abc123 (dot) com (dot) au
Would it be ok to change my ebay ID to abc123comau?
Also, can I add a direct link to my website in the "about me" page?

That's true Clarry.
It does say that you can use elements of your web address so that you could have abc123 as a user name.
If I remember rightly, having a direct link to your website is allowed on your about me page. I think it is the only place you can use one but I can't find the information just yet. Perhaps double check that one with ebay help.

Thanks Clarry, I thought so.
You may link to your own Web store or Web site. However, you may not directly offer any non-eBay merchandise on the About Me page itself.
On your About Me page, you may link to your own Web site or individual Internet store where you are offering to trade, sell or purchase your goods or services. However, you may not link to any page within online trading sites that offer goods from multiple sellers either in a fixed price or auction format.
I thought that to be the case because I do know of one top rated seller that had a link to his website and had some trouble with it but it was eventually sorted out that it was ok.

It is a bit antilogy to me...
"The About Me page may not promote outside-of-eBay sales or prohibited items"
Then
"You may link to your own Web store or Web site."
Well, if I put a link to my own web store, isn't that "promote outside-of-ebay sale" already?

I think it means you can link to your own individual/discrete web site where only you sell your items.
But you cannot link to a web site something like ebay where there is an aggregaton of sellers.
But I agree it does seem a little vague. And I think, in general, ebay do this kind of thing deliberately so they can choose to take whatever action they like and it can be interpreted to be within their rules either way no matter what.
Best give them a call for an interpretation before you go ahead and do it.
